Emma Raducanu will not compete for Great Britain at the Billie Jean King Cup qualifiers in April.

Great Britain have named an unchanged line-up that didn’t include Raducanu, 20, who is expected to compete at the Stuttgart Open the following week.

Harriet Dart, Heather Watson, Katie Boulter, Alicia Barnett and Olivia Nicholls will hope to qualify for the BJK Cup again when they face France in Coventry from 14-15 April.

Anne Keothavong’s team were beaten by Australia in the semi-final of November’s tournament in Glasgow in November.

“I’m pleased to name the same team as the one we had four months ago in Glasgow where we gelled so well, and the team spirit was electric,” Keothavong said. “There were some memorable performances across the week to help us reach the semi-finals.”

Keothavong also touched on Raducanu’s situation.

“While Emma is unavailable for this tie, we look forward to seeing her back on the team in the near future.”

The 2021 US Open champion – who reached the fourth round at Indian Wells where she lost to top seed Iga Swiatek – was also absent for last year’s BJK Cup Finals because of a wrist injury.

The best-of-five rubbers qualifying match will be played indoors at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

Switzerland are the defending champions after they beat Australia 2-0 in November’s final, with both countries automatically qualifying for this year’s contest.

They’ll be joined by the winners of the nine qualifiers and the host nation, which has not yet been confirmed.
