Winning her fourth World Cup race of the season, Bankes now enjoys an 18-point lead over Trespeuch with three events remaining.

Trespeuch’s compatriot Manon Petit-Lenoir rounded off the podium places, as Audrey McManiman of Canada fell just short of her first medal a year to the day since her last, a bronze in Reiteralm.

In the men’s event, Spaniard Lucas Eguibar continued to impress on home snow, despite missing out on top spot to Switzerland’s Kalle Koblet.

The Swiss Olympian had never claimed a World Cup gold before Sunday, but Eguibar now leads the season’s standings following back-to-back podiums.

The 2015 Crystal Globe champion won his first World Cup event for three years on Saturday and a silver on Sunday will go some way to making up for a disappointing World Championships.
