2023 Players Championship money: Here’s how much every player made 

From down a few hundred bucks. To up nearly a mill and a half. The weekend was healthy for Tom Hoge. 

Golf is funny like that. To recap his Players Championship swing:

— On Thursday at TPC Sawgrass, Hoge shot a six-over 78. He double-bogeyed a third of his holes on his second nine. He booked a flight home.

— On Friday, he was better — four-under 68 — but he was around the cutline.

— Play was suspended on Friday due to a storm. Hoge canceled the flight and booked another. 

— On Saturday, Hoge watched the rest of the second round.  Hoge made the cut on the number. He canceled the second flight. 

— Hoge went hog wild. Starting on the back nine, he birdied 10 holes — 11, 12, 15, 16, 18, 2, 3, 4, 8 and 9. He bogeyed no holes. He shot a Sawgrass-record 62. 

— On Sunday, he shot two-over 70.

— He cashed for $1.475 million.
