UFC Orlando’s Darren Elkins reacts to latest blood bath: ‘Back to the drawing board’

Darren Elkins and blood go together like peanut butter and jelly. Indeed, it was another bloody night (Sat., Dec, 3, 2022) for “The Damage” inside Amway Center at UFC Orlando, dropping a lopsided blood-drenched unanimous decision to Jonathan Pearce.

In the third round of his Featherweight fight, Elkins ate a nasty elbow that opened up a massive cut above his eye, forcing the doctor to come in for an inspection. After a few seconds, the ringside physician said “The Damage” could continue, and he got the crowd going.

But, unfortunately, he got pummeled for the remainder of the bout. After his fight, Elkins admitted via social media that he needs to go back to the drawing board:

While it was a pretty uneven defeat, the Team Alpha Male-trained fighter has still won three of his last five matches, including two finishes over Luiz Eduardo Garagorri and Darrick Minner. Nevertheless, it was still an entertaining fight from “The Damage,” and, of course, the Internet was having fun with the amount of blood coming from his head.
