Leeds United climbed out of the relegation zone with a thrilling 4-2 win at Wolves.

Jack Harrison opened up the scoring after firing in from a Wilfried Gnonto cross after just six minutes but Wolves found their rhythm and improved for the rest of the first half.

Mario Lemina did have the ball in the net for Wolves but was found to be offside, before Luke Ayling doubled Leeds’ lead from a corner.

Rasmus Kristensen was on the pitch for less than half a minute as a substitute and slotted in a great goal with his first touches of the match to make it 3-0 with 30 minutes to go.

Jonny pegged a goal back and Matheus Cunha’s deflected shot soon meant Wolves were back in the game and looking for an equaliser.

However, it all went wrong when a nasty challenge from Jonny on Ayling led to a red card and Rodrigo sealed the win for Leeds with a 97th-minute goal.

A VAR check for a foul confirmed Leeds’ goal but Matheus Nunes was furious with the decision and was subsequently sent off from the bench.

It puts Leeds two points clear or the drop zone, which includes Bournemouth as they lost 3-0 to Aston Villa.

Douglas Luiz tapped in the opener after some delightful play with Leon Bailey, but Bournemouth showed some fight to stay in the match.

But, in the 80th minute, Jacob Ramsey ended the away side’s hopes with a lovely goal and Emi Buendi nodded in a header from a corner that Tyrone Mings flicked onto his team-mate.

Elsewhere, Tottenham drew 3-3 with Southampton after late drama and Brentford missed out on an opportunity to jump into sixth after being held by Leicester City in a 1-1 draw.

They started the match well and were rewarded with a scrappy goal from Mathias Jensen as his shot was deflected away from goalkeeper Daniel Iversen.

Leicester raised their game after half-time and Harvey Barnes was played through by James Maddison, before chipping the ball over David Raya.

Brentford substitute Shandon Baptiste was sent off in the 82nd minute for a second yellow and neither side could create a big opportunity to take the three points.

It leaves Leicester on the brink of the relegation zone as they are just one point above 18th-placed West Ham.
